another planet "discovered" in the zone of habitability of a star
"So what are five!" U.S. astronomers have exclaimed that keep an eye on 55 Cancri, a star at 41 light years away. Already known to orbit that there are four planets, but recently the team of astronomers has discovered a fifth. Five planets to a record: it is the largest planetary system to date ... identified the solar system except, of course.
To make this discovery even more interesting is the fact that the planet is in the so-called "habitable zone" that is neither too close nor too far from its star. The planet itself is quite inhospitable as it is a gas giant like our Saturn. If, however, just as Saturn had moons on one of them and if water is present, here we would be in an ideal situation. In the range of interior space, in fact, may be present in surface water, or ice does not evaporate just because you are the right distance from the star.
course in this case there are many "ifs" and when we can only speculate. The tools currently available are not accurate enough to allow us to detect any natural satellites orbiting the planet. However, by comparison with the gas giants of the solar system, we see that all are surrounded by moons, it is reasonable to expect that there are also in the case of the fifth planet.
